A onan 16 hp/PS 216 on a miller bobcat 225g?I bought one several years ago that was burning/blowing by lots of oil, like it has bad valve stem seals. It welds great. I know that onan no longer makes replacement engines and I'm really not in that big of a hurry anyway, and I have the skills to rebuild it. I don't think I'm going to need to replace the crank or anything that severe, just a general overhaul. I have another problem with this project though, on the side of the engine where the model number etc is supposed to be, there is nothing, looks like there has never been anything there. Any clues as to where I would find info about the engine so as to get parts? Miller was no help, Onan either. I did manage to get a set of parts books etc for the PS 216 onan engine in the miller bobcat. Are there any major things to avoid when working on one of these engines? I've torn into deere, cat, gm, ford , briggs , and kohler motors, so it's not anything completely new, but I know enough to ask instead of learn that one trick the hard way on something I've never done before.Any help in a place to buy parts in central texas would be appreciated. Any help in general is appreciated too.
Reply:Sorry guys........it's a P216. I don't know where i got the PS part. |
