I have a miller dialarc (used). How do I know if I have one with P.F.C., and what does it mean. Thanks
Reply:See the following two discussions:http://www.weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=3829http://www.weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=3858& thishttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_factor_correctionRead that whole of both, because there are some early misconceptions by me and others...but, we start understanding a bit more by the end of the thread.PFC in millers are usually indicated in the model...like dialarc 350p.  PFC is accomplished with a bunch of capicators and stuff (technical jargon there)...look in you manual to see where that might be located (the pfc components are usually included in the manual if it was available for that model welder).BTW, have you found a pedal yet?Last edited by smithboy; 07-01-2006 at 11:47 AM.Smithboy...if it ain't broke, you ain't tryin'.
Reply:Thanks, no I do not have a pedal yet. There is a place in M.d. called BR Welding. They have a new one for $275.00. My welder is a 350HF. I do not see anything that says P.F.C.
Reply:I read the replies on P.F.C.  I know I don`t have it now. The machine was 440 when I got it. So I will using the large breaker. It is for home, hobby and to pick up extra money. I too got it at a good deal. Thanks for the info. Alan
