Need help with what consumables to start out with

Hi All  I just ordered my tungstens, 1 box of 2% lanthanated 1/16th and 1 box of 3/32nd 2% lanthanated. Which filler materials should I purchase for the TIG and the Stick electrodes (Not good with the numbers yet, i'm just getting started). I will pick up a bottle of Argon locally unfortunately it will have to be a smaller bottle so I can handle it and fit it in my car.Thanks
Reply:It would be nice to know what you'd like to weld...In tig filler mostly I use E70 in 1/16" but I do keep some 3/32" on hand as well. For thin stuff you might choose .045 or smaller filler. I also keep some Stainless on hand in 1/16" and a small amount of .045 filler. Alum 3/32" in 4043 and 5356.As far as stick rods, 3/32" and 1/8" in 6010, 7014 and Excalibur 7018 covers most of what I need..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Reply:Thanks DSW, I'll pick up a little of each for practicing. When I can actually lay down some good beads then I will start a project and pick some more. I know I can get the stick's at my local big box store, I have to locate a local welding supply for the gas and filler rods
