Reply:Awesome guys, nice work. Docwelder, I like those BESSEY clamps.      That's money well spent. It's nice using quality goodies !
Reply:Nice stainless work, Mike.I'm not allowed to take pictures. I work for the Government. Lot's of monel and stainless pipe. Occasionally I get a mild steel pipe and get to show off. Being the new guy in the yard, all the old heads try to avoid the harder work and it gets dumped on me. Though I can't complain. One FNG crapped up a stainless pipe and he's been the chipper/grinder ever since.

I used 068 NR211. The job took me 6 hours and I charged $75 each for the fish plates.Ground em out, welded em up and plated them. The welding on the fish plates is not completed in these pics.Last edited by whiskeyrichard; 11-30-2013 at 10:29 PM.Miller TrailBlazer 301Miller 12rc feederMiller ShopmasterMiller 22a feederPlasmaCam CNC TableHypertherm 45 cutterDrills, saws, blast cabinets etc.

Reply:I welded up the ornamental outdoor christmas  deer things my wife bought a few years ago. You know, the ones made with wire, wrapped in plastic crap and have lights on them. One of the ones my wife got has a moving head which the single little tack weld broke on the first year. Quick 1" weld and some paint burnt on and its all ready to wiggle its head all winter.

Reply:Nice! And the thin hard to weld razors too.
Reply:I think I did better the first time I tried it. But these are VERY hard to do. I think it's impossible to do a butt joint, you have to lap the edge where it slopes down. At least I do.One of them I did a up/down weave and the other I did a circle motion.Torchmate 2x2 CNC with Flashcut CNC controlsHypertherm Powermax45 Esab ET220i Razorweld 195 MigRazorweld 200ac/dc TigTormach 770, Tormach xstechRazorweld, Vipercut/Vipermig, SSC Foot Pedal Dealer

Reply:Just a bit of welding, I made up two garbage bag holders......Simple thin walled tubing with some gussets on the top corners. They fold flat when not in use.I help out with an NPO here in Japan building playgrounds for communities in the Fukushima area that was devastated by the earthquake in 2011.These are just used on the jobsite for keeping things neat and tidy.Cheers!Dragon D-150 Arc WelderHobart Handler 175 Set up with 100% CO²WT-60 Plasma Arc Panasonic TIG Star YC-300TWX-2 Panasonic YX-0092UW Water Cooler for the TIG

Reply:Wow, lots of cool stuff here!  Fantastic SS TIG welds towards the beginning!  I'm just a hobby welder, got back into welding just this past year with the purchase of a MillerMatic 211 MIG machine.  I've completed about 6-8 projects, mostly stuff I have wanted to do for some time and some repair jobs on broken tools and such.  My latest project was a cargo carrier for my son.  He is a big college football fan and uses it to tailgate to the local games.
