Reply:Interesting concept though... using camera technology to avoid the welding flash. My understanding of digital cams is that you can actually damage them by continually taking pics of things like the sun. I can't say I've ever seen it happen myself and I've shot lots of sunsets. I wonder if using it as a welding helmet wouldn't tend to have a shorter life span than the technologies we are using?
