Here are some pics of the almost-final stand. I had a couple left-overs from my wife's aquarium hobby (thankfully long gone): a little-giant pump, and some flexi-plastic-thingamajobbers that I used for the final end of the coolant tube.I bent the u-bolts to mount the pump on my new HF bender, woo-hoo !The automatic switch allows me to turn the saw on without bending over, and if I choose to flip the coolant/lube on, the saw will automatically turn the both of them off. I figured if I use the saw vertically I want the option to leave the coolant flow turned off. - JohnYeah I know black sucks, but I had a can of it lying around. Attached Images

Reply:Thanks. The paint job is nothing to write home about, you can clear as day see where I stripped the paint off to weld, but who really cares for a saw stand.
Reply:Why the loop thing for the front foot?
Reply:No reason, just a simple way to get the front to the same height as the wheels. Could have just as well been a solid foot or something else.
Reply:good job...what do you use for a filter to keep the chips out of the pump?...zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:No filter yet, still have to figure that part out....
Reply:heres what the coolant tank looks like at the shop..we use soluable oil and water instead of cutting oil..it keeps things cooler..but thats besides the point..heres a drawing of what the tank looks like if it were cut down the middle..the coolant has to fill each chamber up to overflow into the next and so on..by the time it reaches the pump 99% of the chips are gone because they just dont float..a tank like this is easy enough to make..just a cheapo idea.....zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:Yeah I figure on doing something similar, was going to have my pipe go into a can or something that extends above the level of the oil bath.... I don't think I need a multi-stage unit for the very little sawing that I do. Heck if the oil turns out to be too messy I might not even turn it on !Thanks for the ideas,John

Reply:I'd like to add that I've used women's torn panty hose to keep chips out of everything from saws to 5 axis CNC. By the time the chips reach the pump they are always cool so you just need to stop the,,,,,just my 2 cents,,,,,,
