Reply:Makoman,Thank you for the input.  Drawing is only calling out for heat treat, quench and temper at the componenet level, but not at the assembly.  Looks like i'll need re-tempering.KBI r 2 a perfessional

Reply:If the material has been annealed before welding there should be no problems resulting from the welding, but if the heat treatment is a specification then the finished component must be re-treated to spec.The difference between art and craft is the quality of the workmanship. I am an artist.

Reply:Yes, makoman is correct, please see the original posting.  The parts are heat treated prior to welding.There is no post-weld heat treatment specified per drawing.I r 2 a perfessional
