This question is for Jim Colt. I bought a Powermax 380 this weekend for repair. Got it home and cleaned it up and realized there was no spec sticker on it. Being the serial number is on that sticker, I am concerned. I opened it up and found a number that looks like a serial number on the bottom of the cutter. If this is the serial number, is there a way to trace it through Hypertherm to see if it has been reported stolen? I don't like dealing with stolen property and would rather get it back to the rightful owner and get the seller turned in to the police. I did a search online for a stolen 380 in a 3 state area with none found. Please let me know and I can PM you the number. Thanks!
