I am having the worse time trying to locate a used setup. I used to have a Syncrowave 180 and I'm looking for something similar. I live in Rochester NY, but I'm willing to travel a little for a decent deal. I need to be able to do aluminum. I'd prefer one of the bigger name brands, Miller, Lincoln, etc. If anyone is selling or knows of someone selling, please drop me a line. ThanksMike
Reply:how much are you looking to spend?
Reply:Well...I'll put it like this. I can buy a brand new Syncro 200 for 2 grand, ready to weld. So....less than that.
Reply:I'm also looking for the same set up in your same basic area, weird, let me know if you find a pair lol

Reply:Originally Posted by blehenyThis is just a suggestion and I am sure someone will have something to say whether good or bad... I have always used Lincoln tigs, for atleast the last 5 years or so. I currently use a PT275 at the shop and have a PT225 at home. I wanted something smaller so I could toss it in the truck and go, etc. I looked around for a while and did some research and ended up going with the Everlast 250EX. Now, I have no affiliation with them what so ever, I am just a customer satisfied with their product. Anyway, I like the Everlast more than the Lincoln PT, and it was worth it @ $1300 for an AC/DC Pulse Tig 250 amps. Just a suggestion... B
Reply:Originally Posted by independentcustomsI wouldn't mind a Lincoln, but they are just as hard to find as a Miller. I was all set to pull the trigger on the Everlast 225ex, but after a few conversations I had with them, I don't feel quite as good about it as I did before the conversations (I am absolutely not knocking Everlast, I'm sure they are great machines). Did you only pay $1300 for yours? I see they are on their site for $1600. Everyone has great reviews on them.
Reply:I am in Buffalo and have also been looking for a good used unit, the nutz around here are looking for new price or better? Why would anyone pay more for a used unit? They show up occasionally, did you call your local pawn shops? Also there have been a rash of business bankruptcy auctions you may want to find your local auctioneers web site to know where and when to go.Last edited by nikodell; 05-03-2010 at 08:05 AM.
Reply:Thanks guys. Nikodell, I don't know what these people are thinking. I've checked the pawn shops, craigslist and ebay, so far no luck.
Reply:I have been looking for a motorcycle to build and its often the same, WAY OVER priced.

ooks super clean, good luck with the project
Reply:Yha clean for almost 40 years old, it needs to be disassembled completely and rebuilt. Wheels, swing-arm, steering head all sloppy, low compression and who knows what else. The journey begins this weekend upon disassembly.Did you build the bobber?
Reply:I actually didn't build this one. My good friend built it for himself, and to be honest I don't know how I wound up with it. I don't normally buy other people's finished stuff, but if I remember right a few different trades later and I owned it. I have built another xs, that one was a chopper. And from start to finish, I probably put $2000 into it.
Reply:Found this for cheap but I don't want it. http://carbondale.craigslist.org/tls/1724133137.htmlSalem is located about central illinois.

Reply:Very nice Honda CB350, you guys up north have some really nice looking bikes. I guess no one leaves them outside like they do around here in TX. Cant wait to see the finished bike!!!3 weeks ago I was given a 74 cb200 and a 83 CB650sc, both running and in not too bad condition. My son is going to make the 200 into a Cafe bike.Good luck and please post some pics of the CB when you are done with it. Todd
Reply:I want the front end off the cb200 for my little cl160 sloper that I am building.
Reply:I want the front end off the cb200 for my little cl160 sloper that I am building. Around here you have to bid your time waiting for the clean bikes most of the ones I have seen are only good to pull some parts from. I got a Cl175 just before winter also but it got clod before I got it on the road running well. Attached Images
