Hi all,I have a problem with my Handy tig 180 which i was wondering if any of you guys have come across?Basically i can turn her on which then energizes the cooling fan but brings no lights on and I'm unable to weld at all?Any info is appreciated ThanksBen
Reply:Couldn't find any information on a Handy Tig 180, only found the handy tig 150.( also know as the caddy tig 150).  If less that 3 years old take it to a warranty repair station.If this unit is the same as the 150. The fan and every thing else is powered by the power supply pcb. Welder looks small and in a compact case. going to be hard to work on.Call you ESAB tech support and confirm warranty or not. Ask for a diagram and some test points. To see if power supply failed or if the control/ display have failed. See back of owners manual for phone numbers
Reply:Hi there,Thank you for your reply, I'll email them in a second and ask for some wiring circuit diagrams to give me half a chance. Hopefully it's just a case of one of the power capacitors has gone supplying the PCBs?
