Tonight I was laying out cut lines for tank separators on my welding trailer. After firing up my "SC" torch and just about getting it ready to cut, the knurled nut retaining the cutting tip erupted in a ball of flame. I shut everything down and removed the nut retaining the cutting tip and upon looking at the backside of the tip, I noticed most of the silver sealing ring was either missing parts, or deteriorated severely. Are these rings available separate or does the tip need replaced? I obviously was not the last person to use this torch as I never tighten the knurled nut anything other than finger tight. I had to get a pair of channel lock pliers to get the nut to break loose.
