I have a Miller XMT350 CC/CV that displays a HELP-7 code after being on for 3 - 5 seconds. It is wired up 220 Single Phase. It will only display the code on SMAW and Scratch TIG. Everything else, it will power on and continue running. You can hear a loud click down in the bottom of the welder, but you can hear a faint click on the circuit board laying horizontally. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Reply:According to the post on millerwelds.com by "ccawg", if I unplug the RC5 and don't get the code then I have an IGBT bad. So, where are these located on the machine and where can I buy them?
Reply:Replacing the IGBTs is a fairly complex task. If you don't have experience with power electronics, it's a job best left to someone that does. Even if it is a bad IGBT, there may be an underlying problem that could fry the new IGBT as soon as you turn the machine on. I would suggest posting this on the Miller board; there is another gentleman on there named "Cruizer" who is very good with Miller equipment and may be able to give you some pointers.JohnA few weldersA lot of hammersA whole lot of C-clamps

on't use help codes from a different machine.
