Reply:Nice. How big is this motor? Looks like those are rpm heads?
Reply:433 CID.        We won't be to hard on it, we'll turn it a little about 8000 rpm to make the power..  Head builder said should be good for around 1600hp..
ReplyFirst set of turbo headers.. Wish me luck..ang 1600 is alot!almost 4 hp per CI is good
Reply:Gonna run on pump gas for driving and methanol for racing..
ReplyFirst set of turbo headers.. Wish me luck..ump gas. Your brave
Reply:Are you gona changed out carbs or is it fuel injection?
Reply:EFI.     Very little or no boost while highway driving...
Reply:Standalone efi? If so what system are you using? And do you like it?Regards-Carlo
Reply:Haltech?

Reply:Holley Dominator EFI... First go with it, but we got a good friend that's works for them.. So we should have great text support. Lol.
Reply:The 633 we had in it before was 15 to 1 and it would run fine on pump gas you just got to ban it around.  Light foot and keep it under 3200 rpm...

Reply:Finally gotta a plan of attack on these headers... Time to start, Monday! 😜 Attached Images
Reply:Good luck. It gives you time to think about any changes too
Reply:Sweet. Looking forward to seeing how it comes out.

ReplyFirst set of turbo headers.. Wish me luck..o you put the tube in the flange so you can weld it on both sides to make it stronger? Back purge? Looks good so far and that turbo is huge!
Reply:Yes I will back purge when I weld them up.. I usually don't when I'm just tacking them in position.. On the flanges I weld them on the inside all the way around and usually about 3/4" on the top and bottom on the outside for a little more strength.. the turbos aren't really that big   76/88's.
Reply:Nice. Did you back purge the first tube? That one looks welded already. I'm gona make one soon to. You think a merge collector is good for any power or waste of time? What thickness tube are you using is the header gona hold the turbo up?
Reply:Yeah the first tube was back purged... I'm sure the merge collectors are better.. the tubing is 16ga.  the turbo is going to be supported by several things working in conjunction.. the bracket that they are already mounted to, the headers, the down pipes and the cold side piping....
Reply:This is inside the first tube with bad purging. Attached Images
ReplyFirst set of turbo headers.. Wish me luck..ooks good on the inside. I've seen guys with pretty crazy cold air intakes. One guy ran the intake in the cab to a a box I think with dry ice in it. You could make around 100 hp if you got all crazy like that. I've seen cool ice boxes under gas tanks too. I might try that one lol

Reply:Nice job man!! That will work forsure. The lengths came out pretty close too. What size collector?
Reply:The collectors started as 3" but ended up 3-1/2"..
Reply:Oh ok nice. I deffently wanna hear this one and see the front end come up at the track! Is this car getting a parachute? I bet it could go 7.5 sec or less
Reply:It will never go a 7.50.   its to heavy and would blow that 12 bolt rear end smooth out. It also is going to be a little lazy on the hit because of the torque converter
Reply:I gotta see this, nice work and killer car!If you don't want to stand behind our Troops, feel free to stand in front of them.
Reply:I got a feeling the driver side is going to get a little crazy.. 😖 Attached Images
Reply:with your headers are you using egt or o2 to measure with? are you trying to equal out the lengths or doing equal flow? welds look great, just interested in what kind of setup you are doingCentury 88amp 110v migCentury 100, 110migPowcon200smThermal Arc 140 migThermal Arc Fabricator 211i

Reply:Is the engine mounted with a solid front plate or mounts? Driver-side header is going to mash in to the upper A-arm mount if it isn't with that little clearance.I think I see a mounting plate, but couldn't be sure.
