rice seems high for around me. To me the big cylinders would be of questionable value, as no one in my area will exchange large cylinders like that unless you have an account with them. The mig cylinder is useless for tig and adds no real value, unless you expect to do so much tig work that you will need a 2nd large 300 ish cylinder as a backup, AND can get it exchanged for 100% argon. To me the only value would be the mig gas inside for my mig machine. If you don't have one, I wouldn't add any value to the deal for it.Water cooler and water cooled torch is nice. However I've seen plenty of rigs in my area with one for well under $1700. Also the output on the machine is limited, so you really don't NEED a water cooled rig unless you plan to do a lot of nonstop welding on heavy materials. If you were going to push that machine and do a lot of say 1/8" alum, a cooler would be nice. However you would run the risk of burning up the tig machine itself as the machine could quickly exceed it's duty cycle if maxed out running nonstop. With a water cooled torch, you'd never notice until it's too late. That being the case, I wouldn't put a great deal of added value on the cooler WC torch. I might add $250-400 depending on cooler and torch, but not really much more..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Reply:Agree with DSW. You also can sharpen tungsten just as well with a dedicated $10 grinding wheel, belt sander etc. What materials and thicknesses do you plan to weld? Reply:Stephen:I have a PT 185. Bought it used but like new. Came with all of the accessories, two torches, about 40 pounds of assorted TIG wire. No tanks. Gave 1,000 for for the machine. I don't think you would need a water cooled torch, unless you're going to do production welding with significant beads. Reply:just remember, no one puts their rock bottom price on the ad in Craig's List. I picked up that exact same cooler, brand new in the box, never used, for $200 of of Craig's List. Great cooler, not worth $700 though. The cooler and torch will be an investment you will keep if you ever upgrade to a bigger/better machine. it might be worth a shot to go in at $1400, and negotiate from there.Miller Multimatic 255
